Today I am linking up with
3-6 Free Resources Show Me Sunday Linky Party &
Surfin' Through Second to talk all about Classroom Themes!
There are so many ah-ma-zing possibilities out there, and one of my most favorite parts of summer is reinventing my classroom to make it as coordinated as possible :)
I have had the same blue idea for several years and just recently started running with it.
My main colors are:
|
navy |
|
teal |
My bulletin boards are all backed with navy and are either of these two borders from Trend:
They are Cool Stripes and Cool Swirls. I love them- the stripes trim the tops of my white boards and the swirls surround my bulletin boards.
Some of my favorite themed items:
Also, all of my
chevron products are going to be hung in my room in the teal color (of course!).
The fabric for my curtains was a clearance fabric at Walmart ($3/yd? Yes, please!) and fits well with my theme and our class mascot- the dolphin. Yes, we are near the mountains of Colorado and our mascot is the dolphin ;)
Stephanie how adorable!!! Love the teal :)
ReplyDeleteI love your colors! I mainly use turquoise and green colors in my room- I like the calming and cool colors! I'm impressed by your curtains, I've been thinking about it. I have read that it helps create a better learning environment by having extra special touches in the classroom, I guess I need to go in and measure the windows!
ReplyDeleteI love your classroom! I will say I'm a bit partial to it because I use the exact same border! :) It's so calming! Love it!
ReplyDeleteGreat work Stephanie! I love it :) Blue is my favorite color!

I love the Mystery Reader concept. I have parents often volunteer to come in but haven't had an organzied exciting way to present. I am definitely going to purchase this item obviously if I am not chosen to recieve from you. We are working on incorporating inferencing and what an awesome way to work it in. Thanks for the project idea.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I found your blog today! I love your colors! My room is purple, teal and lime green and I have been looking everywhere for two years to replace my very faded and worn-out Cool Stripes border, but I didn't know the name or brand. Thanks to you posting the name, I finally found it! I think I may have to get the Cool Swirls set also and pair it with navy paper for my math board.
